The last two forms of mesothelioma cancers are pericardial mesothelioma and testicular. These are the two least common forms, but worth discussing nonetheless. Pericardial develops in the heart, particularly the pericardium region. Only 5% of cases are the pericardial form. The rarest form of mesothelioma is testicular. These develop in the tunica vaginalis of the testicles. This isn’t a common form of mesothelioma. Pericardial types can cause the heart to have difficulties such as enlargement, and also makes it harder to transport blood to the lungs.
This is the story on how the majority of mesothelioma forms occur and develop. Most forms of mesothelioma are caused by inhaling or ingesting the material asbestos. There’s also benign mesothelioma, which is a non-cancerous condition.
