How do people become exposed to asbestos, and develop the cancer mesothelioma?  This is a question that has been occuring for a long time, particularly over the past 50 years. Before asbestos was recognized as extremely dangerous and banned in a widespread way, it was basically in a large amount of places. In mines, food, water, cement, break linings, flooring products, textiles, insulation, etc. The dangerous thing about asbestos is as it is a naturally occuring substance, research is still under works to learn more and more about its existence. It’s hopeful that it isn’t anywhere else we aren’t aware of at this point.

It is important that people join together and put up a real effort to get rid of any asbestos in the environment and end any exposure to this dangerous substance.
