It goes without saying and without too much of a “going on the edge” that the vast majority of mesothelioma patients are going to have their good days, and their bad days.  While you’re talking to your doctor, undergoing treatment, or in the hospital, be sure to discuss what nutritional strategies, meal plans, foods, and more can be implemented into your diet and applied in a good way to your situation.

Here’s a few tips for nutrition for patients:

  • Focus on foods which have a high calorie content and a lot of protein as well
  • When you’re mentally or physically experiencing side effects that make you not want to eat, try eating something tolerable that sits well with you; a liquid meal is also a good consideration
  • Especially if your diet is lagging on a particular day, try to take in plenty of liquids. 6-8 cups of liquids on a daily basis is good for adults for the most part
