Mesothelioma treatment is a very complex process.  Thus, our discussion of this disease’s treatment will be broken down into a large number of articles which discuss the treating of it.  First off, there are several different forms of treatment for mesothelioma.  These forms include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.  Multiple forms of treatments are oftentimes underwent, and this is commonly referred to as “multimodality therapy.”

There’s also experimental procedures in use, such as immunotherapy, photodynamic, and gene therapy.  These treatments are only available in clinical trials in general, however, as they’re still, like mentioned, experimental.  Patients willing to be used in clinical trials are only helping to find a cure for this terrible disease; early tests with photodynamic and immunotherapy have warranted further research.
