Diagnosing mesothelioma is a pretty simple process.  Patients are generally scanned for the disease with a variety of different common tests, such as x-rays, CT scans, PET scans, and MRIs.  Generally, a combination of these is used to help determine the form of cancer, and the shape and size. Oftentimes, a biopsy follows to try figuring out if fluid and tissue samples show cancerous cells.  This helps to determine whether or not the person has mesothelioma, and whether the cells are malignant or benign.

If you’re concerned that you may or may not have mesothelioma, it is urged that you seek out a proper diagnosis as soon as possible.  If you happen to have it, early diagnosis is absolutely essential to properly treating the disease and, thus, it’s extremely important to get checked out if you’re concerned.
