What is mesothelioma cancer? It’s an extremely rare for of cancer, generally known to be caused by exposure to a mineral called “asbestos.” This mineral was used in construction, and brake pads for a long time, and began to be used in a widespread manner in the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. Recently, several countries have banned this mineral as the correlation to mesothelioma is extremely well-known and documented. The known countries that have banned asbestos are Australia, Japan, and the European Union.
This form of cancer is basically known to be terminal; basically, once a person is diagnosed with it, it’s very unlikely that they’ll survive as there currently exists no cure. The survival rate with this form of cancer is largely dependent upon how early it is diagnosed, and how hard it is attacked with treatment.
