There’s extra precautions and considerations which can be helpful for those who’re having chemotherapy done for mesothelioma.  Some side effects such as fever, nausea and/or vomiting, diarrhea or constipation, fatigue, tingling, sores and/or bruises are commonly noticed with those who have had chemotherapy.  It’s important that your doctor discusses these potential side effects with you before and/or after your treatment, and communication should be excellent between you and your doctor as well.

It’s important to relay to your doctor any and all over-the-counter medications you’re taking as this can also be important to your health when having chemo done.  Any drugs containing aspirin aren’t recommended when having chemo done unless OK’d by your doctor.  It’s also important to maintain a well-balanced diet, and to be very open with friends and family members about your treatment in order to stay in a good mental state.
